Truth or Dare Generator

Truth or dare is the sleepover classic that never gets old – as long as you have fresh questions. The Truth or Dare Generator gives you a random truth question or a dare in one click, so nobody has to think up prompts on the spot and the game keeps moving.

Three levels for every crowd

  • Kids – silly, harmless prompts such as "talk like a robot until your next turn" or "what is the funniest dream you remember?". Perfect for birthday parties and family game nights.
  • Friends & teens – a little more personal: guilty-pleasure songs, embarrassing texts, impressions of people in the room and harmless phone dares.
  • Party (adults, mild) – awkward dates, red flags, karaoke and toasts. Cheeky enough for a house party but kept free of anything explicit.

How to play

  1. Sit in a circle. The first player chooses truth or dare – or lets the generator decide with the random mode.
  2. Read the prompt aloud. A truth must be answered honestly; a dare must be completed.
  3. Agree on a rule for skipping, such as one pass per player or a forfeit.
  4. Pass the turn to the left and press Generate again.

Keep it fun and safe

The best games feel playful, not pressured. Let anyone pass on a question that makes them uncomfortable, avoid dares involving strangers, traffic or anything dangerous, and never share photos or messages from the game without permission.

How to use

Pick a Type and Level, set how many prompts you want and press Generate. Turn off Show Truth / Dare label if you want a plain list, and copy or download the list to print slips for a jar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The Kids level is fully child-safe, Friends & teens is made for sleepovers and hangouts, and Party (adults, mild) is cheeky but contains nothing explicit.

In 'Truth or dare (random)' mode every prompt is a fair coin flip, so roughly half your list will be truths and half dares. Choose 'Truths only' or 'Dares only' when a player picks for themselves.

That is up to your house rules. A popular option is one free pass per player, or a penalty such as doing two dares in a row. Generate a new prompt whenever someone passes.

About 120 – twenty truths and twenty dares for each of the three levels – and No repeats makes sure nobody gets the same prompt twice in one list.
