Random 6 Digit Number Generator

Create random six-digit numbers for verification codes, PINs, order numbers, lottery picks and test data. Every result has exactly six digits, and the list updates as soon as you change an option.

Settings

  • How many – generate a single code or a list of up to 10,000.
  • Allow leading zero – codes such as 048213 are allowed (000000–999999). Turn it off for 100000–999999.
  • No duplicate numbers – guarantees a list of distinct values.
  • No repeated digits – each digit is used at most once in a number.
  • Order – random, ascending or descending.

Why six digits?

Six digits are the standard length for SMS and authenticator one-time passwords (TOTP), many bank and phone PINs, and short confirmation codes. One million combinations make random guessing impractical while staying easy to type. QA engineers use lists like these to test OTP input boxes, form validation and database fields that expect a fixed-length numeric string.

Fair and unpredictable

Each digit is drawn with the Web Crypto API instead of Math.random, so every allowed code is equally likely and the next value cannot be predicted from the previous ones. Because the output is a text string, leading zeros are preserved when you copy it into a spreadsheet as text.

Your data stays local

Generation runs entirely in the browser. Nothing is uploaded or saved; copy the result or download it as a text file with the separator you prefer.

For shorter codes see the Random 4 Digit Number Generator; for letters and digits mixed, use the Random Alphanumeric Generator.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are 1,000,000 six-digit combinations from 000000 to 999999 when a leading zero is allowed, and 900,000 from 100000 to 999999 when it is not.

Yes for testing and manual use: they come from a cryptographically secure random source with no pattern. In production, one-time passcodes should still be generated and verified on your server.

It makes every digit in a number different, as in 274081. That leaves 151,200 possible codes and avoids easy-to-guess values like 111111 or 112233.

Up to 10,000 per click. With 'No duplicate numbers' turned on all of them are guaranteed to be different.
