Random Address Generator
Realistic fake US addresses for testing, demos and mock data.
Random Address Generator
The random address generator creates realistic, fake US addresses for testing forms, filling databases and building demos. Each address has a street number, street name, optional apartment or suite, a real city, the state abbreviation and a ZIP code from that state's range.
What you can configure
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| State | Any of the 50 states or Washington, D.C. – or all of them |
| Apartment / suite | Never, sometimes or always add Apt 12B or Suite 310 |
| Name / phone | Add a random person and a phone number with a real area code from the state |
| ZIP+4 | Use the 9-digit format, e.g. 62704-1234 |
| Format | One line, labeled fields, CSV or JSON |
Why use fake addresses?
Real customer data does not belong in test environments. Generated addresses let developers and QA engineers test address forms, checkout pages, shipping calculators and CRM imports without exposing anyone's personal information. Designers use them to fill mock-ups with believable content instead of Lorem ipsum, and teachers use them for data-entry and spreadsheet exercises.
How the addresses are built
- A state is chosen (or the one you selected).
- A random street number and a common US street name and suffix are combined, sometimes with a direction such as N or SW.
- A real city from the state is picked and a ZIP code is generated inside the state's ZIP prefix range.
- Optional fields are added and the record is formatted.
Tips
Choose JSON object to paste records straight into a fixture file, or CSV row for a spreadsheet – add your own header row (Name, Street, City, State, ZIP, Phone). Everything runs in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these real addresses?
No. Street numbers and names are random, so an address is unlikely to exist – and if one does by chance, it is a coincidence. The city, state abbreviation, ZIP prefix and area code are realistic, which makes the data pass basic format checks.
Can I use these addresses to sign up for services?
Use them for software testing, demos, design mock-ups and education. Do not use fake addresses to deceive businesses or to commit fraud.
Do the ZIP codes match the city?
Each ZIP code starts with a 3-digit prefix assigned to the chosen state, so it is valid for the state. It is not guaranteed to belong to the exact city shown.
Which output formats are available?
One line, labeled fields, CSV rows and JSON objects. CSV and JSON are ready to paste into spreadsheets, fixtures or seed scripts.
