Random Trivia Generator

Need a quick question for the dinner table, a classroom warm-up or a full pub-quiz round? The Random Trivia Generator draws random trivia questions with answers from eight categories, ready to read aloud, print or paste into a slide.

Categories

  • General knowledge – leap years, hexagons and the largest ocean.
  • Science & nature – chemical symbols, bones, planets and blood types.
  • Geography – capitals, rivers, deserts and the world's smallest country.
  • History – famous dates, inventors, empires and explorers.
  • Movies & music – Pixar, the Beatles, Star Wars and Disney songs.

Three answer modes

Question + answer shows each question followed by its answer – ideal for reading at the table. Questions only hides the answers for a printable worksheet. Quiz sheet numbers the questions and adds an answer key at the end, exactly what a quiz host needs.

Tips for a great quiz night

Mix categories so every player gets a chance to shine, keep rounds to around ten questions, and award a bonus point for the closest answer on numeric questions such as "how many minutes are in a day?". Turn on Show category to announce the topic before each question.

How to use

Pick a Category or keep Any category, choose an Answers mode and set how many questions you want. No repeats keeps every question unique; copy or download the result as a text file.
