Random Tarot Card Generator

Shuffle a virtual deck and draw a card. The Random Tarot Card Generator pulls random cards from the complete 78-card tarot deck, with upright or reversed orientation and a short keyword meaning for each card. Use it for a daily card, a quick three-card spread or to practice memorizing meanings.

The deck

  • Major Arcana (22 cards) – The Fool to The World. These cards represent big life themes and turning points: The Lovers, Death, The Tower, The Star.
  • Minor Arcana (56 cards) – four suits of fourteen cards. Wands are fire (passion, ambition), Cups are water (emotions, relationships), Swords are air (thoughts, conflict) and Pentacles are earth (money, work). Each suit runs from Ace to Ten plus the Page, Knight, Queen and King.

Learning the cards

Drawing one card a day and journaling about it is the most popular way to learn tarot. Turn off Show meanings, write down your own impression first, then turn meanings back on to compare.

How to use

Choose a Spread and a Deck, decide whether to Allow reversed cards, and press Generate. In Single draw mode, How many sets the number of cards. Every draw is fresh and random, and cards never repeat within a reading.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes – all 78 cards of the Rider–Waite tradition: 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana (Ace to King in Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles). Cards are drawn without replacement, so a spread never repeats a card.

A card drawn upside down is 'reversed'. Readers usually interpret it as the card's energy being blocked, delayed or turned inward. Turn off 'Allow reversed cards' if you only read upright meanings.

A single card is perfect for a daily reflection. Past / Present / Future is the classic three-card spread; Situation / Action / Outcome is good for a specific problem, and Option A / Option B / Advice helps compare two choices.

This tool is for entertainment, reflection and learning the cards. Many people use tarot as a prompt for self-reflection rather than prediction – treat the reading as a fresh perspective, not a fact.
