Random NHL Team Generator

Pick a random National Hockey League team in a second. The generator includes all 32 NHL clubs grouped by division, so you can draw from the whole league or only from the Atlantic, Metropolitan, Central or Pacific division.

The four NHL divisions

  • Atlantic – Boston, Buffalo, Detroit, Florida, Montreal, Ottawa, Tampa Bay, Toronto
  • Metropolitan – Carolina, Columbus, New Jersey, NY Islanders, NY Rangers, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington
  • Central – Chicago, Colorado, Dallas, Minnesota, Nashville, St. Louis, Utah, Winnipeg
  • Pacific – Anaheim, Calgary, Edmonton, Los Angeles, San Jose, Seattle, Vancouver, Vegas

The newest clubs are the Seattle Kraken (2021), the Vegas Golden Knights (2017) and the Utah franchise (2024). The Original Six – Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Montreal, New York Rangers and Toronto – are all there too.
