Random Canada Address Generator

Create fake Canadian addresses for testing sign-up flows, shipping calculators and international forms. Each result has a civic number and street, a real city, the two-letter province code and a correctly shaped postal code, with optional names, unit numbers and phone numbers.

Canadian address format

Canada Post expects the address in this order: name, unit and civic number with the street, then the municipality, province code and postal code on one line, for example:

Line Example
Street 12-345 King St
City, province, postal code Toronto ON M5V 2T6
Country (international mail) Canada

The postal code is six characters in the pattern letter-digit-letter space digit-letter-digit. The first letter identifies the province or region – A for Newfoundland and Labrador, B for Nova Scotia, E for New Brunswick, G/H/J for Quebec, K to P for Ontario, R for Manitoba, S for Saskatchewan, T for Alberta, V for British Columbia, X for the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, and Y for Yukon.

Why test with Canadian data

  • Postal code validation – many forms built for US ZIP codes reject letters or the space in a Canadian code.
  • Province lists – make sure all 13 provinces and territories appear, including Nunavut.
  • Bilingual cities – names such as Trois-Rivieres or Saint-Laurent check how your system handles hyphens.
  • Phone numbers – Canada shares the North American numbering plan, so formatting rules should match the US.

Output options

Choose one line per address, labeled fields, CSV rows or JSON objects. Pick a single province from the menu to focus on one market, or leave it on Any province for a coast-to-coast mix. All data is generated locally in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

They follow the real A1A 1A1 pattern, never use the letters D, F, I, O, Q or U, and start with the correct letter for the province (K–P for Ontario, G/H/J for Quebec, V for British Columbia, T for Alberta and so on). The exact code may not be assigned to a real delivery area.

Canada Post puts the unit before the civic number with a hyphen, so apartment 12 at 345 King St becomes 12-345 King St. Switch Unit number to Some or Always to see this format.
