How many NFL teams are there?
There are 32 NFL teams split into two conferences – the AFC and the NFC – with four divisions of four teams each. All 32 are in the generator.
Can I pick a random team from one division or conference?
Yes. Use the Division menu to limit the draw to one division such as the NFC North. For a whole conference, generate from the four divisions of that conference or simply draw from All and filter by the AFC or NFC label you need.
Can I use this for a Madden franchise challenge?
Absolutely. Draw one team for a random franchise or rebuild challenge, or generate 32 teams with No repeats switched on to create a random draft order.
Does every team have the same chance?
Yes. Each team is picked uniformly at random with your browser's cryptographic random generator, so the Chiefs are no more likely than the Jets.
