Ideas for using random nationalities
Character creation. Give each character in a story or role-playing game a nationality, then look up common names, languages and holidays of that country to make them feel real.
Geography and language lessons. Demonyms are surprisingly irregular – Monaco gives Monégasque, Côte d'Ivoire gives Ivorian and the Philippines gives Filipino. Show only the country and ask students to name the nationality, or the reverse.
Food nights. Generate one nationality and cook or order a dish from that country. Over a year you can eat your way around the world.
Software testing. Forms that accept nationality or country fields should be tested with names containing spaces, accents and apostrophes, such as Côte d'Ivoire or Solomon Islander. Generating a random list is a quick way to cover those cases.
Regions
Use the Region menu to limit results to Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and the Caribbean, South America or Oceania. All draws from every region. Countries in the Middle East are listed under Asia, following the usual continental convention.

Picks use a secure random source in your browser. With No repeats switched on, every nationality appears at most once per list.
