Facebook Bold Text Generator
Facebook posts and comments do not offer a bold button, yet many pages publish posts with strong, bold headlines. The trick is Unicode bold letters. Type your text above and pick one of seven bold styles – each one is plain text you can paste anywhere on Facebook.
When bold text helps
- Headlines at the top of a long post so readers know what it is about.
- Prices and dates in sale announcements and event posts.
- Key steps in a tutorial or recipe shared in a group.
- Names of winners, guests or products you want to highlight.
Seven bold styles
Bold sans-serif is the safest choice because it looks like the normal Facebook font made heavier. Bold serif gives a classic, editorial feel. Bold italic versions add movement, bold script looks like a signature, bold Gothic suits gaming and metal pages, and double-struck outline letters work well for logos and short names.
How it works
Each letter is replaced with its counterpart from the Unicode "Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols" block – for example A becomes 𝗔 in bold sans-serif. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored: the conversion runs in your browser as you type. Letters with accents keep their accent marks, so names in Turkish, French or German still look right.
Tips
Bold only what matters – a fully bold post is hard to scan on a phone. Hashtags and @mentions must stay in plain text to remain clickable. Pair bold headlines with Facebook italics for quotes, or with strikethrough text to show an old price. Every other style lives in the Font Generator.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I write bold on Facebook?
Type your text in the box, copy the bold style you want and paste it into your post or comment. Facebook displays the bold Unicode letters exactly like any other text.
Which bold style looks most natural?
Bold sans-serif blends best with the Facebook interface font. Bold serif looks like a newspaper headline, and bold script or bold Gothic are more decorative.
Do bold numbers work too?
Yes. Bold serif, bold sans-serif and double-struck styles include bold digits 0–9, so prices, dates and phone numbers can be bold as well. Punctuation stays normal.
Will bold text hurt my post reach?
Facebook does not penalise Unicode text, but search inside Facebook will not match bold words to normal words. Keep important keywords and hashtags in plain text.
