Screenshot Beautifier — Pretty Screenshots in Seconds
Raw screenshots look flat and unfinished. The Screenshot Beautifier wraps your capture in a browser or macOS window frame, puts it on a gradient background with padding and a soft shadow, and exports a crisp PNG that looks great in tweets, product announcements, docs, pitch decks and App Store pages.
Why beautify screenshots?
A framed screenshot instantly tells the viewer what they are looking at — a website, a desktop app, a terminal. The background separates it from the surrounding page, and the shadow adds depth. Teams use beautified screenshots for release notes, feature announcements, case studies, bug reports and portfolio pages; indie makers use them for "build in public" posts on X and LinkedIn.
Window frames
- Browser window – traffic-light buttons plus an address bar with your own URL. Ideal for websites and web apps.
- macOS window – the classic three dots with an optional centered title.
- Windows window – minimize / maximize / close icons on the right.
- No frame – just rounded corners and a shadow.
Every frame has a light and dark variant so it matches your app's theme.
Sizes for every platform
Choose 16:9 for X / Twitter and slides, 1.91:1 for Open Graph and LinkedIn link previews, 1:1 or 4:5 for Instagram and 9:16 for stories. The canvas expands around the window, so your screenshot is never cropped.
Privacy
Screenshots often contain e-mail addresses, tokens or customer data. Everything happens locally in your browser, and you can hide sensitive parts first with the Censored Image tool. For general photos try the Image Beautifier; for code, Code to Image renders syntax-highlighted snippets.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make a screenshot look professional?
Paste or upload the screenshot, pick a gradient background, keep the browser or macOS frame, and add some padding and shadow. Download the PNG and use it in your tweet, changelog, landing page or documentation.
Can I change the URL shown in the browser frame?
Yes. With the Browser window frame selected, type any address into the URL field. You can also set a window title and switch the frame to dark mode to match a dark-themed app.
Are my screenshots uploaded?
No. The screenshot is decoded and drawn on a canvas inside your browser. That makes the tool safe for internal dashboards, admin panels and unreleased features.
Why is my screenshot scaled down?
Retina screenshots are often 2500–3000 px wide. The Max image width slider limits the size so the file stays small enough for social networks; raise it to keep full resolution.
