How to use it

  1. Type or paste the phone number. Formatting characters are ignored.
  2. If the number is written in national format, add your country code in the optional field.
  3. Add a pre-filled message if you like.
  4. Click Open chat or copy the link to share it.

A click-to-chat link has one required part, the number in full international format without +, spaces or dashes, and one optional part, the message: https://wa.me/905321234567?text=Hello. The generator normalizes the digits, checks that the length is plausible (E.164 numbers have at most 15 digits) and URL-encodes your text so spaces, ampersands and emoji survive.

  • Business websites and bios. Put a link on a Contact page, Instagram bio or email signature so customers can message you in one tap.

Privacy

The link is built entirely in your browser. The phone number and message are never uploaded or stored by this site. Keep in mind that anyone who has the link can see the number inside it, so avoid posting private numbers publicly.

Troubleshooting

If WhatsApp reports that the number is not on WhatsApp, check the country code and remove any extra zeros. If the link does not open, make sure the app is installed or use WhatsApp Web.

No. A wa.me link opens a chat with any number that has a WhatsApp account, even if it is not in your address book. That is the main reason people use click-to-chat links.

Use the full international format: country code followed by the number, with no leading zeros. +90 532 123 45 67 becomes 905321234567. Spaces, dashes, parentheses and a leading + or 00 are removed for you.

A leading 0 is a national trunk prefix and is not part of the international number. Enter your country code in the optional field (for example 90 for Turkey or 44 for the UK) and the tool drops the 0 and adds the code.

Yes. Type the text in the message box and it is URL-encoded into the link as the text parameter. The recipient's chat opens with the message ready to send, but nothing is sent until you press the send button.
