Full Blue Screen
Turn your whole display into a solid blue canvas with one click. Press Go full screen and the page fills the monitor, hiding browser bars, tabs and distractions. It works in desktop, laptop, tablet and phone browsers that support the Fullscreen API.
What a blue screen is useful for
- Blue subpixel tests. A pure blue field reveals pixels whose blue subpixel is stuck off, plus uneven tint, banding and mura on the panel.
- Photography and video. Use it as a vivid backdrop, a colored gel substitute or a cool mood light for portraits and product shots.
- Projector and monitor comparison. Compare how saturated blue renders across displays, projectors and phones.
- Ambient lighting. A calm blue glow works as a desk accent, party light or visual signal.
- Screen cleaning. A uniform color makes smudges and dust easy to spot before you wipe the glass.
How to use it
- Choose the Blue preset. You can also switch to White, Black, Red or a custom hex such as
#0033ccfor another shade. - Press Go full screen.
- Press Esc or click the screen to return.
The preview box shows exactly what the display will look like, and the custom hex field accepts three or six digit codes with or without the hash sign.
Tips
Raise the brightness to maximum when testing and view the panel straight on, because viewing angles shift perceived color. Late in the evening, bright blue light can make it harder to fall asleep, so keep the brightness low at night. On OLED screens avoid leaving a static color up for many hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I exit the full blue screen?
Press the Esc key or click anywhere on the screen. Browsers always allow Esc to leave full screen mode, so you cannot get stuck.
How do I test for stuck pixels with a blue screen?
Fill the display with blue and look for dots that are black, red or green. A pixel that cannot show blue points to a faulty blue subpixel. Cycle through the other colors with the buttons for a complete check.
Is a blue screen the same as the Windows blue screen of death?
No. This tool simply shows a solid blue color for lighting, testing and photography. It does not simulate an error, and nothing on your computer is affected.
Can I use a blue screen as a chroma key background?
It can work as a quick improvised backdrop for small shots, but a monitor emits uneven light. For professional keying, use a matte physical blue or green screen with even lighting.
