Frequently Asked Questions
Can I alphabetize a comma-separated list?
Yes. The separator is detected automatically: if your text has multiple lines it's sorted line by line, otherwise commas, semicolons, or spaces are used. The result keeps the same separator.
What does 'Ignore The, A, An' do?
It sorts titles the way libraries and music stores do: 'The Beatles' is filed under B and 'A Tribe Called Quest' under T. The articles are still shown in the result.
Why is there a language option?
Alphabetical order differs between languages. In Turkish, Ç comes after C and İ/ı have their own positions; in Swedish, Å, Ä, and Ö come after Z. Choosing the language applies the correct rules.
