JSON to Text Converter
The JSON to text converter turns structured JSON into plain, readable text — no braces, no quotes, no commas. Choose between flat key paths, an indented outline, or just the values, and copy the result into an email, a ticket, a spreadsheet, or a search index.
Three output styles
Key paths writes one line per value with its full path:
company: Acme Ltdaddress.city: Izmircontacts.0.name: Deniz
This flat form is perfect for grep, full-text search, comparing two documents line by line, or feeding values into tools that expect key: value lines, such as .properties-style configs.
Indented outline shows the structure through indentation, like a document outline. Non-developers can read it without knowing JSON at all, which makes it ideal for summaries in emails and reports.
Values only lists every primitive value on its own line, in document order — useful for extracting all names, IDs, or URLs from a response quickly.
Why convert JSON to text?
JSON is precise but noisy for people. When you share API results with support teams, paste data into chat, or document a configuration, the punctuation gets in the way. Plain text keeps the information and drops the syntax. Flattened paths are also a handy way to see every field a document contains, including deeply nested ones you might otherwise miss.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which text style should I choose?
Key paths put every value on its own line with its full path (address.city: Izmir) — great for search, grep, and diffs. Indented outline reads like a document for humans. Values only lists just the data, one value per line.
How are arrays shown?
In key paths, array items get their index (contacts.0.name). In the outline, items are numbered (- 1, - 2) under their parent key.
Can I convert the text back to JSON?
The key-path style keeps all the information needed to rebuild the structure, but the values lose their JSON types (numbers and strings look the same). Keep the original JSON if you need a lossless round trip.
What happens to null values?
null becomes an empty value, so address.zip: with nothing after the colon means the field exists but is empty.
