Cash App Fees Calculator
Cash App is free for ordinary person-to-person payments, but some actions cost money. This calculator estimates the three fees people ask about most: sending with a credit card, receiving payments on a business account, and the instant deposit of your balance to a debit card.
How to use it
- Choose the transaction type from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the amount in dollars.
- Read the fee and the net amount. Switch to the second mode if you want to know what to charge so that you keep a specific amount.
Fees at a glance
- Credit card sends – 3%. Paying someone with a linked credit card adds a 3% fee on top of the amount, so a $100 payment costs $103.
- Business payments received – 2.75%. Accounts that accept payments for goods and services pay 2.75% of every payment received. On $100 you keep $97.25.
- Instant deposit – up to 1.75%, minimum $0.25. Moving money to your debit card in seconds costs a percentage. A standard bank deposit takes one to three business days and is free.
How the reverse mode works
If you sell items and want to receive $50 after the fee, you cannot simply add 2.75% to $50, because the fee is also taken from the added part. The correct charge is $50 divided by 0.9725, which is about $51.41. The calculator does this for you and respects the $0.25 minimum for instant deposits.
Ways to avoid fees
Fund payments from your balance or a debit card instead of a credit card, use free standard deposits when you do not need cash right away, and keep personal and business payments separate. Check whether your payments really need a business account, since personal accounts are not meant for selling goods.

Rates shown are typical published US rates and can change. This calculator is an estimate, not an official statement from Cash App.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Cash App free?
Sending money from your Cash App balance, linked bank account or debit card to another person is free. Standard deposits to your bank are free, too. Fees apply to credit card sends, business payments you receive and instant deposits.
How much does Cash App charge for instant deposit?
Instant deposit has a percentage fee, shown in the app before you confirm, with a minimum of $0.25. This calculator uses 1.75%, the upper end of the published range, so your real fee may be lower.
How do I charge a customer so I receive an exact amount?
Switch to the "Amount I want to keep" mode. It divides your target by one minus the fee rate, so a $100 target on a 2.75% business account means charging about $102.83.
Do the fees change?
Yes. Cash App updates its fee schedule from time to time and rates can differ by country and account type. Treat the numbers as an estimate and check the Cash App fee page before you rely on them.
